Who Ever Smelt It...

I don't think I have ever had a class quite like this one. Everyday, yes everyday, several times a day, I have to deal with farts. If someone is not farting, they are smelling it, if not smelling it, they are covering their noses, if not covering their noses, they are making fart noises, if not making fart noises, they are commenting on something sounding like a fart.

And boy, if you are in the middle of lesson and someone smells one, you are never, I repeat, never going to get those kids back for the rest of the lesson. Now, I have to admit, someone has a problem with bad gas in the room. Of course they all blame each other.

In other news, the fire alarm went off today, as a result of someone in the staff lounge burning their burrito in the microwave. Good thing we have had three drills in the past two weeks. We exited the building, in the cold rain, with no coats. The high today was like 45, I felt bad for them. Luckily we were able to get back in quickly. Is it Friday yet?

I have my own air freshner and use it whenever I walk into a "stinky". But I have had some classes where I swore the kid planned to do it when I was walking the room.

Yikes. I have never had this problem. Thank goodness. One year I had a little 4th grade boy who would leave the room to fart... he was so worried about the other kids teasing him. I would rather have that extreme than yours. Keep those windows open this year... I guess that fresh air may kill those H1N1 germs too!

I bet it's always the boys too! Boys make everything competitive. We have some gender based classes and I loathe when it's all boys! They are always pooting and pointing at each other. Bring back the girls!!!

ETA: it's ironic that my word verification was "krappa" too funny!
